Minnesota Prairie Line (MPL)
Minnesota Prairie Line, Inc. (MPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Twin Cities & Western Railroad Company. Since 2002, Minnesota Prairie Line has operated of 94 miles of track between Norwood Young America and Hanley Falls, Minnesota. MPL serves some of the most productive agricultural counties in Minnesota. MPL works in partnership with the Minnesota Valley Regional Rail Authority (MVRRA) and the communities it serves to enhance rural economic development. Sisseton Milbank Railroad (SMRR)
Sisseton Milbank Railroad Company (SMRR) operates 37 miles of track between Milbank and Sisseton, South Dakota. SMRR serves the communities of Sisseton, Peever, Wilmot and Corona, SD. Major commodities handled on SMRR include wheat, corn, soybeans, fertilizers and plastics. SMRR has transload sites available, with good access to local highways and Interstate 29. Twin Cities & Western Railroad Company (TC&W) acquired and began operating SMRR in July of 2012 and SMRR now operates as a subsidiary of TC&W.
