Minnesota Prairie Line

The Minnesota Prairie Line (MPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Twin Cities & Western Railroad.  The MPL began operations in October 2002.  The MPL is the operator/agent of 94 miles of track between Norwood Young America and Hanley Falls, MN.  This line is owned by the Minnesota valley Regional Railroad Authority.

Serving some of the most productive agricultural counties in Minnesota, the Minnesota Prairie Line operates through twelve communities.  MPL works in partnership with the Minnesota Valley Regional Rail Authority and the communities it serves to enhance rural economic development.

Sisseton Milbank Railroad

The Sisseton Milbank Railroad Company (SMRR) operates as a subsidiary of the Twin Cities & Western Railroad (TCWR).  The TCWR purchased the assets of the SMRR in July of 2012.  The SMRR operates 37 miles of line between Milbank and Sisseton, SD.

SMRR serves the communities of Sisseton, Peever, Wilmot and Corona, SD.  Major commodities handled include wheat, corn, soybeans and plastics.  SMRR has transload sites available, with good access to local highways and Interstate 29.
