Sisseton Milbank Railroad Company (SMRR) operates 37 miles of line between Milbank and Sisseton, South Dakota.  SMRR serves the communities of Sisseton, Peever, Wilmot and Corona, SD.  Major commodities handled include wheat, corn, soybeans and plastics.  SMRR has transload sites available, with good access to local highways and Interstate 29.  Twin Cities & Western Railroad Company (TCWR) purchased the assets of SMRR in July of 2012 and SMRR now operates as a subsidiary of TCWR.

History

The line was built in 1892 and was originally part of the Milwaukee Road.
